Peyton's Party

We were so excited to go Peyton's birthday party at the Magik Theater.  We took Reef and Jonas when they were little, but this was the first time for Poppy and Lachlan!  They loved the show!

Preschool Program 2014

In May, Poppy and Lachlan had their end-of-year Preschool Program.

Lachlan is an old pro at this now.

 This is his whole class with his teacher Ms. Berta.

 Poppy, on the other hand, was very serious about her job on stage.

 This is her whole class.

 Lachlan's class had a special graduation ceremony.  He refers to this as his "first preschool graduation" since he is going again this year for a "gift of time" class.

 At the end of the program, we said goodbye to longtime director, Ms. Theresa.  She did a great job running the preschool and it was sad to see her go.  Lucky for us, she lives close by and we still get to see her lots!

It was a great end to a great year of preschool!

Sleepover with Liam

Before Liam moved, we made sure to have him over for a special sleepover with Lachlan.

I took them on a special date to Sonic.

 Then we came home and watched Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.

They all had a great time and made special memories of this very-missed friend!

Back to Preschool 2013

We were so excited for Preschool to start again!  It had been a LONG summer of missing those sweet teachers!
Lachlan is in Ms. Roberta’s class this year. It is no surprise that he loves every minute since he is in class with his 2 besties.

For homework, he had to decorate an L.  He went with a Spiderman theme and did all the work on his own.

Because you can’t have the camera out and not take her picture…

Poppy had to decorate a person for Ms. Coco’s class.  This was my first year making this little person a girl!  She was very proud of her work, but we had to hide if from her since the beads kept disappearing…

The best I could get from Lachlan.  He was WAY to excited about the first day to slow down for a picture.

Poppy and Ms. Coco.  Don’t let that semi-smile fool you; there were tears on day 1 as she didn’t have any friends in her class.  It was tough to leave her crying, but she made friends quickly!

Back to School Interviews

For fun, we did interviews on the first day of school:
Reef loves: desserts, Ninjago, Scooby Doo, the Gummy Bears show from the 80’s, reading, his new math, P.E., the color yellow, and Ethan.

Jonas loves: pizza, ninjas, Scooby Doo, movie nights, math, and the Bible.


Lachlan loves: ice cream, ninjas, Scooby Doo, going to the ice cream shop, and his new Transformer book.
Notice he wants to be an eagle when he grows up?!

I tried with Poppy.  She loves:  ice cream, donuts, the Gummy Bears show, Veggie Tales, the Jesus song, Jesus loves Me, board books, fishies, and her friend Jacob.

Gigi and Mr. Don’s visit

Gigi and Mr. Don had to miss Lachlan’s party but came in the following weekend.  They joined us at Pump it Up and treated us to lunch.
The real reason for their visit was to see Lachlan and give him his birthday present.
I wrapped it for her; isn’t it fancy?

It was the Lego circus he’s been eyeing!  He was so excited and couldn’t wait for them to help him put it together!

Lachlan’s Super Hero Birthday Party

Let me just warn you- there are TONS of pictures in this one!
Lachlan finally settled on a Super Hero party, and I set to work!  All of Lachlan’s friends were able to make it except Mrs. Theresa.  Thankfully Mr. Randy was able to take her place.  Lachlan was excited to see him since they bonded at the movies.
Our first event, was a bad guy search.  The kids split into teams…

And set off in search of villains!

It was an intense search!


Lachlan’s team actually won!  How exciting for this birthday boy, who doesn’t usually win when competing with his brothers!

This girl finally made an appearance.

The next task was leaping over tall buildings…

And squishing the bombs.

They all looked so cute doing their jumps!






The final activity was spraying Spiderman’s webs (silly string).  Yes, we are known for throwing the messiest parties in town!




After battling the heat, we headed inside for a buffet of Super Hero-themed food: Wonder Woman whips, Thor’s hammers, Catwoman claws.

Batarang sandwiches, corn dog bombs.

Aquaman melon.

Then it was present time, which Lachlan LOVED!


We also had Flash power punch.

Troy did an awesome job with the cupcakes as usual.
