Apparently I was really bad at keeping breakfast foods stocked because we ate A LOT of donuts last winter!
Welcome to our little corner of the internet! What started as our virtual "baby book" has evolved into a look into the good, the bad, and the ugly happenings of the Gibbins Gang! It's not always pretty, but I wouldn't change a thing!

2014 dates
We haven't done many dates this year but these are the few we did! We had good intentions after such success last year, but this year has proven to be CRAZY!
Poppy and I walked to the goats and then ate at Cane's! Troy took the boys to the Lego Movie for a group date.
Lachlan and I had a movie night.
And Reef and I had a Chuy's lunch date.
Jonas, I know that you had a date too, but it must be on Daddy's phone!

New phone!
In February I joined the masses and got a smartphone! How fun was it to be able to search Pinterest from the park?!
Here is the first picture I took on my new toy!

Valentine's Day 2014
These are the kids' valentines for their friends this year:
We went all out with homemade ones for Reef and Jonas this year since it was their first co-op Valentine's Day party! Poor Poppy and Lachlan were stuck with store bought. But I got to buy Barbie ones for the first time!
The little kids decorated bags at school this year, but Reef and Jonas made these purple minion containers. They totally look just they did on Pinterest!
Can I just tell you that after I had all the supplies set up, Jonas says to me, "You know I don't like gluing things!" I'm sorry, but how did he think the purple stuff was going to stick?!?

Snow, take 2
It "snowed" again in February. This time it had a strange, "dippin' dots" texture but was easier to make into snowballs.
We were also able to find gloves for everyone this time, which made for longer playing outside.
The big boys and I took a break from school to build a snowman while the little 2 were at school. We just don't have that opportunity often, so we couldn't pass it up!
When the little guys got home, they played in the snow some more before nap.
They loved it so much, and Poppy asked all winter when the snow was coming back!

Pirate Party
The kids were invited to a fun pirate birthday party in February. The big kids had another party to go to, but these guys were dressed in costume and had a great time!

Disney Cruise!
Troy and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary back in December. There are no pictures of that occasion, and I'm not even sure we went out, BUT for Troy's Christmas present from work he requested a get away for us. So, for 5 days in January, our friends the Groves kept our crazy crew, and we headed out on a Disney Cruise to the Bahamas!
Olaf met us in the terminal.
We had a balcony cabin and can really never cruise without one anymore!
Coming in to Nassau.
The big Atlantis resort.
We spent most of the day on the ship during our Nassau stay. Troy wasn't feeling well, and I was just as happy to lay by the pool and read.
The highlight of our trip was Castaway Cay, Disney's private island. It was fabulous! We spent the morning hiking and kayaking, enjoyed a (free!) lunch, and then spent the rest of the day at the kid-free beach.
Our friends the Boones were remembering the 1 year anniversary of sweet Atlee's death and planned to release these balloons. Since we couldn't be with them, we took ours with us!
The view from my beach chair.
Francie went searching for seashells.
We headed back to the ship to get ready for our fancy dinner.
We had a fancy dinner at one of the restaurants. I don't remember what was on the menu, except I know there was pea ice cream!
We stayed up late for the fireworks. Disney is the only cruise I've been on that does fireworks!
We had a great time and would recommend Disney Cruises with kids and without! We are ready to plan a trip with the kids next time!

Snow, take 1
It "snowed" in San Antonio twice last winter! This was the first time.
Obviously, we don't really have the appropriate jackets for snow!
The trampoline iced over, and they all thought it was great. I remember jumping on a friend's trampoline that was icy and loved it!
Jonas was the only one with no gloves and was the first to come inside.
They had a great time and kept asking when it would happen again!

January 2014 Conroe Trip
We've made it to 2014, y'all! I took the kids to Conroe for a few days. It was our first trip post-potty training, and it took 6 very loooong hours!
We made a stop at the Bluebell Factory.
It was a first for Lachlan and Poppy. This was how excited they were:They loved their ice cream samples!
I was so ready to be out of the car and, thankfully, Joe and Lisa brought us dinner in our condo.
We visited Grandma at her "new" house.
This girl slept SO badly while we were gone! I'm not sure it could've been much worse: up late, up in the middle of the night, multiple bed-switches. But at least she's beautiful when she sleeps!
We enjoyed snack on our balcony, hikes, the playground, and a swim in the heated pool.
Mr. Jerry's house is always fun.
These 2 are convinced these are riding toys instead of lawn ornaments! We didn't ride horses on this visit, but (some) enjoyed playing with the dogs.
Best picture we could get of all the cousins!
Jonas gave Lila a wild ride throught this field.
We waited patiently for our turn at archery. They loved it, but no pictures were taken since I was worried they'd shoot each other! Next time!
Gigi was working during this visit, but I know we got to see her and Mr. Don at least once. Sadly, we didn't get any pictures, though. Will have to do better next time!
